DUTIES •Planning production within budget on time, in liaison with dispatch manager and processing manager •Quality control of product on all production lines in liaison with machine operators and quality control personnel •Monitoring the timeous ordering of materials for use to avoid downtime during production •Inventory control on production output, packaging material and all other items associated with product manufacturing •Managing and organizing manpower for each respective shift •Leadership to production line managers, inventory clerks, warehouse clerks, production clerks, stock controllers and team leaders and production floor workers at large •Recruitment / hiring of departmental employees as and when necessary •Carrying out job descriptions, performance reviews and staff appraisals of all departmental employees up to line manager level •Organizing proper storage of finished product •Carrying out root cause analysis of non-conforming product, and generating corrective and preventative measures to avoid recurrence of anomalies •Carrying out monthly departmental SWOT analysis for continual improvement •Monitoring that health and safety protocols are adhered to •Assuring plant’s compliance with quality policy and documentation requirements
